World's first data recovery solution for COB type USB memory

INGENDATA has developed the world’s first Data recovery solution for COB type USB memory.

Most IT products, such as Smart phone, i-Phone, i-Pad, Automobile black box, are using flash memory as data storage medium. This trend is becoming increasingly common. The number of using memory card as a data storage medium is dramatically growing.

As the demand of the memory related products as data storage medium, so does the number of consumers who ask data recovery.

There are several memory types available on the market. Among them are COB (Chip On Board), SIP (System In Package), and BGA (Ball Grid Array) type. COB is one of the package methods for the integrate circuit by gluing and packaging a bare chip on a printed circuit board. SIP is another type of packaging technology, which incorporates multiple components into a single package. BGA is a type of surface mount packaging used for integrated circuits. It’s possible to shrink the chip size, but it has been impossible to recover data for COB type. Compared to TSOP (Thin Small Outline Package), BGA (Ball Grid Array), COB and SIP types have shown high reliability, and the capability of dust and damp proof. Despite the strengths of these types of storage medium, the data recovery from COB, SIP type memory has been unrealizable.

A number of data recovery companies have struggled to find out the recovery method for COB type package. However, any companies has not succeeded in recovering data form COB typed USB Flash memory.
